About ROR

Russian Orphan Rescue
Russian Orphan Rescue, Inc. (ROR) is a non profit public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is for public and charitable purposes only and meets the IRS requirements of a 501 (c) (3) corporation. 100% of all donations received by ROR are used solely and exclusively for the various projects ROR is currently involved in. ZERO donations are used for administration, overhead, salaries or travel.
The specific purpose of ROR is to provide educational and life-skills training programs and assistance to orphaned children in Russia in order to maintain and improve their physical and social well-being. ROR also provides for the philanthropic needs of those persons who desire to donate to such causes.
There are seven directors including a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Their backgrounds include the judiciary, pastoral, business leaders and computer support. All directors donate their time, and most are among the major contributors to date. One hundred percent of donated money goes directly for the benefit of the orphans.
ROR representatives are available to speak at your church and service groups.
There are several projects currently in progress that ROR supports:
- An apartment in Ryazan, Russia supervised by a housemother which provides food and shelter for three teenage orphan girls. They are given training in basic life skills, such as cooking, housekeeping, personal hygiene and instruction in Christian living.
- A boy’s apartment in Ryazan, supervised by a house father.
- A house in Chernovtsy, Ukraine doing the same.
- The ministry of Oleg and Nina Petrov. They have a farm near Smoleyevka where they live and minister to children. They have a boy’s home and a girl’s home on the property and each summer, they provide food, lodging and spiritual growth to many orphans during the children’s summer holidays.
The above is a representation of projects in process. Other special needs will be addressed by the board of directors as they arise. Closing reports will be given as the projects become complete. All of these activities will directly further the corporation’s purpose of providing education and life skills programs for orphans in Russia and the former Soviet Union. Your contributions will improve their physical and social well being with the assurance that 100% of the money donated goes directly to the orphans.
