Current Projects

1. Girl’s Home in Ryazan Russia – ROR funds and oversees the Girls Home in Ryazan. The apartment provides food and shelter to recent “graduates” of the local orphanage. They are being given training in basic life skills, such as cooking, housekeeping, personal hygiene and instructions in Christian living. The housemother is a volunteer, although she receives room and board along with the orphans. The purpose of the apartment is to provide a safe place where graduates of the local orphanage have the opportunity to become competent, mature adults who have the skills and the desire to live an upright, productive and successful life. During their stay in the apartment they will receive training for employment in trade schools provided by the government, participate in how successful families function, learn proper social behavior from good adult role models and be encouraged to make a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and his teachings. Our goal is to give orphans an alternative to living on the street which is where the majority of them end up.
2. Safe Home in Supozhoke, Russia – ROR purchased a house very close to the orphanage in Supozhoke and is in the process of remodeling it and using it as:
   • A “safe house” when children run away from the orphanage
   • An example of a married couple living a Christian lifestyle
   • A place for orphans to learn basic life and vocational skills
   We have been remodeling this house for over a year and hope to complete it in the Summer 2010. We estimate that $10,000 to $15,000 is required to complete the remodel.
3. Girl’s Home in Chernovtsy, Ukraine – Soon ROR will start funding a new girl’s apartment like the one in Ryazan.
